Oak Park and River Forest High School District 200 (OPRF) is seeking a Student Worker for the Auditorium to assist with events in performing arts spaces, including the Auditorium, Little Theater, and Studio 200.

The position requires theatre production experience, basic knowledge of audio mixers, lighting consoles, and AV equipment, and current student status. You will set up equipment, operate audio/lighting gear, and assist with event recording and usher duties.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up for events (microphones, projectors, lecterns, tables, chairs, risers, music stands, etc.).
  • Operate the audio mixer and/or the lighting console.
  • Operate cameras and record events as needed.
  • Use software such as Qlab for audio playback.
  • Assist with clean-up/strike at the conclusion of an event.
  • Serve as an usher and scan tickets using the Ludus Mobile App as needed

Job Title: Student Worker - Auditorium

Reports to: Auditorium Manager

Terms and Conditions: Hours vary based on student schedule.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Rate of Pay: $13.35 per hour, no other benefits provided.

Oak Park and River Forest High School, or OPRF, is a comprehensive public high school located in Oak Park, IL, a suburb eight miles due west of downtown Chicago. We are a one-school district, with the majority of our students coming from two sender districts, River Forest Public Schools District 90 and Oak Park Elementary School District 97. We offer more than 200 courses, a variety of programs for students with special needs, 103 clubs and activities, and 34 competitive sports. We prepare our students well for post-secondary success, with an average ACT composite score of 24 and a 96% graduation rate.
