Job summary

LC State invites applications for the position of Program Assistant for Student Work Programs. This role supports the Work Scholar, Federal, State, and JOB Work-Study programs and develops training materials for aid-based student work programs.

Responsibilities include partnering with employer partners, guiding students and families through financial aid processes, and presenting information about aid programs to prospective students and counselors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience with career development or staff supervision.
• Experience working with databases.
• Excellent organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the Work Scholar program.
• Managing the Federal, State, and JOB Work-Study programs.
• Developing and presenting training materials for aid-based student work programs.
• Collaborating with employer partners and supervisors to support student workers.
• Assisting students and families with FAFSA, scholarships, and other financial forms.
• Presenting on financial aid, scholarships, and aid-based programs to students and counselors.
• Creating or enhancing correspondence to students.
• Collaborating on marketing materials in Student Financial Services.
• Partnering with office staff on projects and assignments.
• Serving on campus committees as needed.
• Other duties to support recruitment and retention of students.
