Job summary

Washington State University Vancouver seeks a Patient Services Coordinator to be the main contact for the Student Wellness Center, advising students on counseling or health appointments and promoting health programs. You will manage EMR records, ensure policy compliance, and support counselors and staff in a busy health services environment.

You will coordinate operations on campus, maintain data and equipment, and assist in hiring and training new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent with three years of general office experience or two years in healthcare setting.
• Experience working with reception or records in an office setting, preferably in healthcare or mental health.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse clients/patients, medical or mental health providers, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for the Student Wellness Center for staff, faculty, and students seeking information and services from Health and Counseling Services.
• Advise and schedule students seeking counseling or health appointments.
• Lead administration of the Health Services program including promotions and contract compliance with third-party providers.
• Support the work of full-time mental health counselors and manage the EMR system for authorized users.
