Job summary

Mission Graduates seeks a Wellness Coordinator to join the Leonard R Flynn Beacon, working with teachers, social workers, and administrators to support student health and well-being. The role includes school-day wellness work, after-school program support, and collaboration with partners to implement restorative practices and SEL strategies.

You will help create a safe, engaging learning environment, supervise activities, and coordinate with families while supporting students through a holistic

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or higher required.
• Strong interest in education and socio-emotional learning.
• Willingness to explore non-institutional teaching methods.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse communities; culturally competent.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellness Center during the school day with daily student check-ins.
• Facilitate disagreements between students and utilize restorative practices.
• Coordinate lunch-time support and program services with partner organizations.
• Assist with behavior issues and conflict resolution.
• Follow student behavior plans on a case-by-case basis.
• Provide supervision during lunch and recess and help maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain communication with school staff, Beacon Director, and administrators.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and team meetings as needed.
• Support SEL curriculum implementation across school day and after-school programs.
