Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a Web/Application Developer to work with the product owner to understand project requirements and scope. You will write front-end and back-end JavaScript code implementing the requested functionality.

You will collaborate with developers and professors to solve unique problems, research documentation, and implement third-party libraries while applying core programming fundamentals to current projects.

Qualifications

• Web Development experience: familiarity with programming, especially in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
• Strong interpersonal skills with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as Wix, Shopify, Squarespace, or WordPress.
• Good communication and customer service skills through work or volunteer experiences.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work with the product owner to understand the requirements and scope of the project.
• Write front-end and back-end JavaScript code that implements the functionality requested by the client.
• Work in a collaborative setting with developers and professors to discover solutions to unique problems.
• Research documentation and implement third-party libraries.
• Apply programming fundamentals to current projects.
• Assist Supervisor or CLC Director as needed.
• Create online learning modules for the Computer Literacy Center.
• Develop digital projects (online learning modules) as assigned.
