Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a proactive Student Waitstaff member at Wofford College to deliver friendly, attentive service in a college dining setting. You will take orders, suggest menu items, handle payments or assist with the register, and help with dishwashing as needed.

The role emphasizes customer focus, basic math/readiness, and the ability to work a flexible schedule while upholding high hygiene and service standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of restaurant serving experience preferred.
• Able to read, write and perform basic math.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Customer oriented, organized and detail oriented.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and decision making ability.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide menu knowledge and ingredients information.
• Take orders accurately and serve customers; suggest meals and drinks.
• Accept payment or operate the cash register; refer to cashier as needed.
• May operate dishwasher or assist with washing dishes.
• Meet daily service time standards and maintain quality.
• Set up, serve, and clean serving areas according to guidelines.
• Communicate with manager and team to ensure high quality.
• Suggestively sell items to guests.
