Duties/Responsibilities
  • Primary duties: Provide intermediate animal care to small animal patients: water, feed, transport, restrain, groom. Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and collect samples (blood or urine). Establish effective working relationships with senior veterinary staff and assist with animal care.
  • Secondary duties: Assist with all aspects of the patient's treatment and care; maintain knowledge of the patient's medical condition, treatment, prognosis, and plan; inform attending clinician of changes in condition promptly.
  • Facility & supplies: Stock cleaning products and patient care equipment; maintain facility cleanliness using appropriate cleaning procedures.
