Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a motivated student to join the Bob Jones University dining team as a Student Dishwasher. You will contribute to a clean, efficient kitchen with dishes, glassware, and cookware prepared for service.

Responsibilities include washing, organizing storage, and supporting the dining operations. Prior dishwashing experience is preferred; physical stamina and safety awareness are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and equipment is helpful.
• Ability to exert physical effort including bending, walking and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, and pans using dish machine or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Place clean dishes and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Support stock organization and receiving product as needed.
• Assist with waste sorting and walk-in cooler rotation.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Student Dishwasher at Bob Jones University.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dish machine or by hand
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas
• May be responsible for receiving product from vendors, organize stock
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas
• Clean and rotate the walk-in cooler

Requirements:

• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, standard cleaning methods and equipment used in dishwashing work
• Ability to exert continuous physical effort including frequent bending, walking and lifting
• Previous dishwashing experience preferred
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
