Job summary

Mission Health System in Franklin, North Carolina, offers an ultrasound internship for a second-year student. You will perform invasive and non-invasive procedures under supervision, operate ultrasound equipment, and assist technologists and physicians to produce high-quality images.

You will learn sterile techniques, demonstrate independent judgment, and work across a multidisciplinary radiology team in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current second-year student in a JRCERT-accredited School of Ultrasonography.
• Enrollment in a second-year ultrasonography program with clinical exposure.
• Required: BLS and clinical certification from a JRCERT-accredited School of Ultrasonography.

Responsibilities

• Perform invasive and non-invasive ultrasound procedures under supervision.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and maintain sterile technique as needed.
• Assist technologists and physicians throughout the Mission Health System.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a second‑year ultrasound student working under supervision, you will perform invasive and non‑invasive procedures on a variety of patients. Ultrasound interns must use sterile techniques when necessary, operate complex ultrasound equipment, and assist technologists and physicians throughout the Mission Health System. You will receive ongoing supervision from licensed technologists and/or physicians to produce superior quality images and demonstrate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

Qualifications

• Required Education: Current second‑year student in a JRCERT‑accredited School of Ultrasonography.
• Preferred Education: None.
• Required License: BLS and clinical certification from a JRCERT‑accredited School of Ultrasonography.
• Preferred License: None.
• Required Experience: Enrollment in a second‑year ultrasonography program; minimum six months of clinical experience in a multi‑disciplined radiology department, or equivalent experience gained through a clinical education program.
