Job summary

Lifepoint Health® in Lebanon, Kentucky, seeks a qualified individual to perform diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures under the guidance of physicians. Responsibilities include providing age-appropriate care, maintaining equipment, and participating in educational efforts with staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required.
• One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.
• ARRT/ARDMS/CCI certification; BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Position Summary

Under the general guidance of the physicians/providers performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasonographic procedures.

Essential Functions

• Performs sonographic examinations and procedures as requested by the referring physician.
• Provides age-appropriate care to patients across the lifespan.
• Maintains supplies and ensures a clean, orderly work area; notifies supervisor of needed items.
• Maintains and calibrates equipment to ensure accuracy and longevity.
• Acts as a consultant and educational resource for physicians and staff regarding appropriateness and accuracy of scans.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or School of Radiology required.
• Experience: One year of diagnostic medical sonography experience preferred.
• License/Certifications: ARRT/ARDMS/CCI certification; BLS required within 30 days of hire.
