Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be UM-Flint Student and enrolled in Fall 2026.
• Must be eligible for Work-Study funding during Fall 2026.
• Communications skills necessary to tutor elementary students in Math and/or Reading.

Responsibilities

• Attend required training sessions and meetings.
• Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Assist students with homework, assignments, and exam preparation.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents (for K-12 students), and literacy program leadership.
• Explain concepts and provide alternative approaches to learning in a clear and understandable way.
• Provide academic support and tutoring to K-12 and college students in subjects such as math, reading, writing, and science, among others.
• Support literacy events.
