The Howard County Public School System is seeking an Area Manager, Student Transportation to oversee planning, directing, and supervising transportation activities and school bus operations. The role requires leading routes, schedules, safety audits, and driver certification programs in collaboration with school and central office teams.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and several years in transportation or logistics, plus strong leadership, analytics, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Six (6) years of experience in transportation, school administration, planning, logistics, or service delivery operations.

Responsabilités

• Routes, schedules, and supervises contract school bus operations for school system transportation programs.
• Continuously analyzes bus routes and bus stops for safety and efficiency.
• Audits documentation associated with the monthly school bus contractors’ invoices.
• Attends internal and external stakeholder meetings with HCPSS schools and offices, State Highway Administration, Howard County Bureau of Highways, Howard County Police Department, and other agencies.
