Job summary

Zūm is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Liaison to manage communications between Rockford Public Schools Transportation Division and Zūm services. You will work with parents, schools, and drivers to ensure a seamless student transportation experience, handling inquiries and concerns with professionalism.

Based primarily out of the Office of Student Transportation, this role includes coordinating routes, schedules, and service changes, while maintaining records and supporting emergency

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle customer inquiries efficiently and calmly under pressure.
• Experience communicating with parents, schools, and drivers about transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between Rockford Public Schools Transportation Division and Zūm services, communicating with parents, schools, and drivers.
• Provide information on bus routes, schedules, and service disruptions to parents.
• Coordinate with school administrators to address transportation needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and drivers on routes to ensure timely arrivals and departures.
• Professionally handle complaints and feedback from parents, working toward satisfactory resolutions.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and follow up on unresolved issues.
• Assist in coordinating transportation for special events when needed.
• Support during emergencies or incidents involving buses and implement contingency plans.
• Stay up-to-date on company policies and transportation regulations to inform customers accurately.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
