Job summary

Minnesota Coaches LLC is seeking a dedicated part-time Special Education Bus Driver to transport students along designated routes, ensuring safety and timely arrivals. The role requires strong communication, basic mechanical knowledge for inspections, and a customer-focused approach.

Ideal candidates may have prior school bus experience, but it is not required. Clear English communication and excellent service are essential, with opportunities to write reports and maintain records.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• School bus driving experience preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical understanding for pre-trip inspections.
• Clear English communication; multilingual a plus.
• Excellent customer service and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain records.
• Experience in childcare or working with children is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate vehicle on assigned routes with timely arrivals and departures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and alighting.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and incidents.
• Communicate route changes or passenger needs with dispatch and team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws while driving.
