Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet state physical examination requirements.
• National Red Cross First Aid Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Operate hydraulic-lift bus for loading/unloading wheelchair-confined students.
• Secure each student with harnesses, belts, or locks as required.
• Maintain discipline per division regulations.
• Assist in emergency evacuation drills per division rules.
• Instruct riders to be responsible passengers.
• Report personal absences to secure a substitute.
• Know the physical/emotional needs of each student on the bus.
• Be alert to emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
