Horizons Specialist Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Minibus Driver & Site Assistant to provide a safe, welcoming environment and support transport services across Bracknell and Reading. You will maintain premises, assist with maintenance and support health and safety compliance.

The role combines premises duties with student transport, requiring a full UK driving licence, independence and strong communication.

Qualifications

Holds a full UK driving licence.
Experience in maintenance, facilities or similar environment.
Knowledge of building maintenance and health and safety requirements.
Able to work independently, prioritise tasks and use initiative.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible, proactive and committed to delivering high standards.
Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

Maintain the safety, security and upkeep of school premises, grounds and facilities.
Drive school minibuses to transport students to and from school and off-site activities.
Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, equipment and vehicles.
Assist with health and safety compliance, including fire safety and statutory checks.
Support contractors and maintenance projects across the site.
Act as a key holder and support site security procedures.
Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance activities and inspections.
Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, parents and external partners.
