St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone is seeking a suitably qualified and competent driver to drive pupils on one of our 9-seater or 17-seater School minibuses. A PCV (CPC) qualification is required for the 17-seater position.
This is a permanent, term-time only position, for which the salary is £10,760-£11,319 per annum (including paid holiday entitlement). The successful candidate will work 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, two hours each morning (from 06:30) and two hours each afternoon (from 16:45) plus any agreed additional paid daytime hours to transport pupils on trips, visits and sporting events. We welcome applications from candidates who are available for either the morning shift or the afternoon shift, as well as those able to cover both.
Good interpersonal skills, a commitment to safeguarding pupils and a knowledge of driving health and safety are essential, as is a positive attitude and awareness and understanding of a school environment. Driving liveried vehicles, minibus drivers are expected to wear a uniform and to maintain high standards of driving, appearance and behaviour.
