Job summary

North Lamar Independent School District seeks an Extra-Curricular School Bus Driver to transport students, staff, and others for field trips and events. You will drive on assigned routes, perform pre-trip inspections, refuel, and maintain safety and discipline in line with district policies.

Responsibilities include ensuring child safety, documenting route timing, coordinating with maintenance, and participating in trainings.

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience driving a school bus is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a school bus on designated routes and field trips.
• Inspects the bus daily for safety and cleanliness.
• Maintains order and discipline among students per district policies.
• Reports mechanical deficiencies, incidents, or accidents promptly.
• Travels to district buildings and service/repair facilities as needed.
