Job summary

North Lamar Independent School District seeks a School Bus Driver to transport students and staff safely on assigned routes, field trips, and activities. You will follow schedules, maintain order, and uphold district policies.

Responsibilities include daily bus inspections, fueling and cleaning, reporting incidents, and keeping records. A CDL Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsement and a High School Diploma or GED are required; bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic laws and safety protocols.
• Must perform pre-trip inspections and maintenance checks.
• Clear verbal and written communication with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives a school bus on designated routes and field trips.
• Transports students, teachers and others to destinations.
• Inspects bus daily and ensures safe working order.
• Maintains order and discipline per district policies.
• Reports incidents, accidents and mechanical deficiencies promptly.
• Produces records and reports as required.
