Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a Bus Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation for students and staff on assigned routes, following schedules and school policies.

Must hold Alabama ABL and CDL with P/S endorsement, pass health requirements, and maintain a good driving record. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, safety, and timely reporting; early morning routes and occasional after-hours trips may be required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
• Ability to meet suitability criteria under Alabama Child Protection Act.
• Ability to operate a school vehicle on a scheduled route with safety.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to traffic laws and driving safety rules.
• Prepare and submit monthly bus reports as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and evacuations when needed.
• Maintain discipline and a clean bus.
• Picks up and discharges students at stops on assigned routes.
