Job summary

Dean Transportation is seeking School Bus Drivers to safely transport students and passengers in Grand Blanc, MI. Training is provided, including preparation for obtaining a CDL, and no prior CDL experience is required.

Flexible scheduling and benefits are available to eligible employees. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, following routes and stops, and maintaining safety as the highest priority.

Qualifications

• Must meet all general qualifications for employment.
• Must pass Federal DOT medical and physical examination requirements.
• Must pass drug and alcohol screening as required by company.
• Successful completion of Dean Transportation School Bus Driver Training Program (classroom, behind the wheel, written and driving skills tests).
• Must meet Michigan School Bus Driver Certification Requirements (minimum hours, knowledge tests).

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passengers on safety.
• Drive defensively under varying traffic and weather conditions.
• Maintain safety of passengers as a top priority.
• Establish positive working relationships with staff, students, parents, and school personnel.
• Attend trainings and workshops for ongoing development.
