Qualifications

• Successfully complete Dean Transportation School Bus Driver Training Program.
• Meet Michigan School Bus Driver Certification Requirements.
• Meet local, county, and state standards for driving skills test.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Use established routes and designated bus stops.
• Conduct emergency evacuation drills as required.
• Instruct passengers on safety.
• Drive defensively under varying conditions.
• Prioritize passenger safety at all times.
• Establish positive working relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• Attend training sessions and in-service programs.
