Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a part-time student employee to assist CAM with the Ethington Theater. The role involves set construction, welding, light focus/hang, and operating shop tools and machinery used in theatre construction.

You must be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s or master’s program, maintain a 2.0 GPA (Bachelor) or 3.0 GPA (Master), and have a valid driver’s license. Anticipated end date is June 30, 2027, with employment at minimum wage.

Qualifications

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
• Must maintain a 2.0 GPA (Bachelor) or 3.0 GPA (Master).
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.
• Must meet university eligibility for student employment.

Responsibilities

• Set construction
• Welding
• Light focus/hang
• Operating shop tools and machinery including woodworking tools, steel cutting and grinding tools, and electrical equipment
• Equipment handling: Computers, Copiers, Hand tools and Power tools, Table saw and chop saws
• Ladders and personnel lifts and climbing equipment
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work at height
