Job summary

First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls seeks a part-time student teller to handle confidential financial transactions with accuracy and courtesy. You will cover lunch shifts and Saturdays, totaling 10–19 hours per week as part of our scholarship program.

The role emphasizes customer service, compliance with procedures, and teamwork in a friendly banking environment. This year‑round position offers a $2,000 annual scholarship to eligible universities and opportunities for growth within the PREMIER

About The Role

Handle financial transactions for customers in a confidential and accurate manner, while also providing excellent customer service. This position is for full-time students who participate in our business scholarship program and are required to work a flexible schedule that is 10-19 hours per week. The teller will perform teller duties at any of the locations for lunch coverage, closings, and Saturdays. This is a year‑round employment opportunity.

This Position Is Also Eligible To Receive a $2,000 Scholarship Per Year To One Of Several Universities (with a Maximum Eligibility Of Four Years). Eligible Universities Include

• Augustana University
• Southeast Technical College
• University of Sioux Falls

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Execute PREMIER customer service by greeting all customers promptly, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining confidentiality, and understanding the features and benefits of First PREMIER Bank’s products and services.
• Process transactions including deposits and withdrawals, cashed checks, Savings Bonds, and receipt of payments (loans, credit cards, credit lines).
• Follow a range of mandatory procedures to ensure that work is carried out to the required quality standards and/or to ensure adherence to external regulatory and internal codes of conduct.
• Review account information, help customers with problems or questions and keep customer information current using internal systems.
• Perform the branch opening and closing duties independently.
• Manage a cash drawer and balances it daily according to teller performance standards.

Skills And Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and currently attending a qualifying college.
• Express ideas, request action, and formulate plans by means of clear and effective verbal communications to respond to customers and/or organizational needs.
• Understand and effectively use standard office equipment and software packages to support business processes.
• Works at a basic level to recognize sales opportunities during service interactions to enhance overall customer service.
• Conduct oneself in a manner that promotes trust in the individual and the organization.
• Cooperatively interact with co-workers to promote an effective and productive work unit.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills; clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
