Job summary

Austin Public Schools seeks a Student Technology Support Paraprofessional to assist students with district-issued devices at Ellis Middle School and Austin High School. You'll troubleshoot issues, coordinate repairs, manage loaner devices, and keep accurate technology records.

The role requires strong organization, customer service, and confidentiality, with a 5-hour daily schedule and travel between campuses as needed. This is a part-time, on-site position supporting teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Post-secondary coursework, technical training, or related experience preferred.
• Experience working with students or technology support systems preferred.
• Ability to lift, move, and transport technology equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline support for student technology needs at Ellis Middle School and Austin High School.
• Coordinate repairs and loaner devices and maintain student technology records.
• Create, update, and monitor student technology support tickets; communicate with students and staff regarding issues.
• Maintain inventories of spare and loaner devices and ensure devices are returned and redistributed.
• Promote responsible use of district technology resources and support district procedures for device sanitation and pest mitigation.
