The Student Technology Specialist role at Illinois State University will provide first-level technology support to the College of Engineering by phone, email, and in person. You will assist with university-owned computers, ULID/password issues, and endpoint devices including classroom and conference room tech, e-mail, and calendaring.
Based at Campus East in Bloomington, IL, you must be flexible, team-oriented, and possess strong communication and documentation skills.

The Student Technology Specialist role will be primarily working to provide first level technology support and assistance by phone, over email, and in person directly to the College of Engineering (CEG). This support is related, but not limited to, university-owned computers and software and ULID account and password issues, along with support of endpoint technologies utilized by College of Engineering faculty and staff, including desktop and laptop computers, tablets, classroom and conference room devices, smartphones, printers, e-mail and calendaring, and line-of-business applications.
Individuals in this position are required to be flexible, self-driven, and willing to work in a team environment. Student Technology Specialist will need strong written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail for this position. Students in this position will need the ability to quickly learn new skills, effectively collaborate with a team, manage multiple tasks, provide great customer service, create insightful and concise documentation, and lift up to 40 lbs.
The CEG IT Team is located at Campus East (1709 General Electric Road in Bloomington) and students are expected to report to this location for work.
