Job summary

Pacific University is seeking a part-time Computer Support Technician who will provide first-level technical support to students, faculty and staff on campus. The role focuses on troubleshooting account, hardware and software issues and guiding users with technology questions.

The position is open only to current Pacific University students and runs from September to the end of the undergraduate calendar in May.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time Pacific University student.
• Punctual and consistent.
• Willingness to work with users in person and over the phone.
• Interest in learning the basics of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to learn new technologies.
• Desire to learn customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and phone support to users experiencing technical difficulties.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common computer hardware and software issues.
• Assist users with account setup and password resets.
• Assist users in reporting incidents via the Pacific services portal.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Be a willing and receptive learner.
