Job summary

Stephen F. Austin State University is seeking a student assistant to provide technical support to faculty and staff. You will assist with endpoints, instructional environments, and hardware/software issues under supervision.

Training is provided; no direct experience required. You must be enrolled as a student, and strong teamwork and communication skills are preferred for handling classroom tech and equipment logistics.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student at Stephen F. Austin State University.
• No direct experience required; training provided.
• Technical aptitude with computers (Mac and PC) and basic classroom tech, teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom support technicians with daily break/fix issues.
• Perform hardware/software maintenance and installation on computers and peripherals.
• Assist with inventory.
• Receive and provision new hardware, migrate user data, and train on new equipment.
• Retrieve equipment from the field and assist with installations.
• Collaborate with other technical departments on troubleshooting.
• May replace projector bulbs.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
