Job summary

The University of Utah seeks a Student Technology Operations Technician to support day-to-day and event-day technology needs for Rice-Eccles Stadium and the Jon M. Huntsman Center.

You will assist with setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of venue technology while working in a fast-paced, large-venue environment. Applicants should be dependable, curious, and willing to learn, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a computer-related field or equivalent; two years of related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated computer skills and effective communication required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Tech Services staff with setup, operation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of technology systems in Rice‑Eccles Stadium and Huntsman Center.
• Provide event-day technology support for athletic events, concerts, and other events.
• Assist with audiovisual systems, displays, LED technology, networking, Wi-Fi, ticketing technology, radios, and control systems.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance to identify issues before events.
• Help with installation, configuration, cabling, and deployment of new technology and equipment.
