Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the P-STEP and student teaching program, ensuring successful pre-service experiences in CPS and future high-need subject teaching in Chicago.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will manage operations, partner communications, stipend distributions, and program policies while working full-time in a dynamic district environment. Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Minimum three (3) years of professional work experience is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Program Manager to streamline candidate supports and resources.
• Plan and execute program events, secure vendors and manage materials.
• Coordinate across teams and manage relationships with key partners and vendors.
• Oversee stipend distribution for candidates and cooperating teachers.
• Develop and review operational policies to guide staff and program candidates.
• Handle candidate inquiries via phone and email and provide timely responses.
