Job summary

Sterling Elementary School is hiring a Student Employment/Sweeper to help keep facilities clean and welcoming for students and staff. You will clean classrooms, hallways, and entrances to maintain a sanitary, safe school environment.

You will also replenish supplies and assist the custodial team as needed. This role reports to the Head Custodian and requires adherence to safety and school policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 14 years of age and enrolled in school.
• Must be able to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.

Description

Assists inmaintaining an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and public; ensures that assigned tasks are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.

Working Conditions

Works in the school under the direct supervision of the Head Custodian.

Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, stooping and kneeling, is required. Will operate job-related equipment.

Contract

2 hours a day, 5 days a week, when school is in session
