Job summary

Grandview School District is seeking a student tech assistant to manage daily equipment setups, troubleshoot issues, reimage Windows OS, and upgrade video systems to keep venue tech running smoothly during events.

You will assist with LAN IP configurations, learn Daktronics video/audio systems, and help maintain professional relations with staff and the community while supporting events.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a high school student with interest in tech.
• Involved in the current digital media broadcasting course and have strong interest in tech.
• Experience with basic PC hardware and software troubleshooting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down equipment on a daily basis.
• Troubleshoot emergency tech issues and respond to inquiries.
• Reimage and repair Windows operating systems and hardware.

Job description

What You'll be Doing:

• Manage and complete daily equipment set-ups and tear-downs, troubleshoot emergency technological issues, and assuage customer inquiries
• Reimage and repair both windows operating systems and hardware to provide quality equipment.
• Upgrade and repair video systems.
• Perform diagnostic testing on PC and equipment and ensure venue systems are always running.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot computers to identify malfunctioning software or hardware in customer computers.
• Assist in cabling, configuring IP settings for LAN equipment.
• Understand Daktronics video and audio systems.
• Manage sporting and community events through the use of digital signage and sound.
• Maintain a professional relationship with community and staff members while running the venue.

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting, 33% walking, and 33% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard free environment.
