Job summary

Montgomery County Educational Service Center in Ohio is seeking an Educational Assistant for the Learning Center North (Grades 7-12/9-23). Start date ASAP; full-time hours; prorated days per contract year.

You will support students individually or in small groups, assist with interventions, enrichment, and behavioral strategies, and help maintain learning environments. A valid license/permit and fingerprinting clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio license/permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to physically support students with disabilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to supporting student engagement and development.
• Fingerprinting and criminal records check results (provided by MCESC).

Responsibilities

• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce instructional objectives.
• Assist with intervention, enrichment, and behavioral strategies under teachers' guidance.
• Manage classroom and program materials, equipment, and learning environments.
• Help students with daily living activities, social skills, task redirection, and behavior management.
• Monitor and communicate student progress, collecting data and maintaining records.
• Assist in implementing accommodations and supporting safe learning environments.
