Job summary

Montgomery County Educational Service Center is seeking a Substitute Educational Assistant at Learning Centers - Dayton, OH. This part-time role (days as needed) starts ASAP, with a wage of $18.50 per hour.

You will support students individually or in small groups, assist with intervention and behavioral strategies under teacher guidance, and help manage classroom materials and environments to create a safe learning space.

Qualifications

• Valid Ohio license/permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to physically support students with disabilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to supporting student engagement and development.
• Fingerprinting and criminal records check satisfactory (provided by MCESC).

Responsibilities

• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce instructional objectives.
• Assist with intervention, enrichment, and behavioral strategies under the guidance of teachers.
• Manage classroom and program materials, equipment, and learning environments.
• Help students with daily living activities, social skills, task redirection, and behavior management.
• Monitor and communicate student progress, collecting data and maintaining records.
• Assist in implementing accommodations and supporting safe learning environments.
