Los Rios Community College District seeks a coordinator to support student success by planning and delivering student services programs. This role involves coordinating activities, assisting with program reviews, and ensuring compliance with regulations to provide effective services to a diverse student body.

Under the direction of the assigned supervisor/manager, coordinatestudent success and support related programs, components andactivities; assist in the planning, implementation and delivery ofsupport programs and services associated with the collegeplans.

Oversee one or more college student support programs; providecoordination and planning for assigned program activities andevents; and assist in conducting program review and strategicplanning for the assigned college programs; ensuring compliancewith and implementation of student services related regulations,policies, and procedures; gather and maintain data and statisticalinformation in an effort to ensure appropriate services areprovided to students in compliance with district and stateregulations, policies, and procedures; participate in recommendingand monitoring systems to provide and track support services tostudents; budget development and coordination and preparation ofthe required state and district reports; attend college, district,and department meetings in an effort to assist in ensuringcoordination of support services and follow-up activities;communicate with and advise students to move them through the Stepsto Success and core services of assessment and educationalplanning; assist students in their academic career by providingthem referrals and resources to meet their educational andvocational career objectives; present activities to connectstudents to college programs and services; develop, coordinate andconduct workshops and activities, including subjects such asentering students coming directly from high school, studentstransferring to a four year university, financial literacy andother related subjects; assist in planning and coordinatingfollow-up and retention activities for at-risk students includingthose on probation and dismissal; prepare appropriate forms ofcommunication regarding career education events, activities,programs, and initiatives for dissemination to college personneland students; assist with the development and presentation ofprofessional development activities for faculty and staff tosupport student success; assist in the recruitment, training andoversight of temporary employees; perform related duties asassigned.
EXPERIENCE: Two years of related experience in studentservices on a college campus or in a community agency that providescomparable services to students or diverse community members.
EDUCATION: Completion of a Bachelor's degree from anaccredited college or university, in an area related to the assignment. NOTE: Additional qualifying experience may besubstituted for up to two years of the required education on ayear-for-year basis.

( Experience Requirement: One year of experience is equalto 12 months of experience at 40 hours per week. Applicablepart-time experience will be converted to the full-time equivalentfor purposes of meeting the experience requirement. EducationRequirement: One year of education is equal to 30 semesterunits.)
