Job summary

Stride, Inc. through Michigan Great Lakes Virtual Academy (MGLVA) seeks a Student Resource Coordinator to support families in crisis and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and external agencies to coordinate services.

This home-based role requires residency in Michigan, a Master’s in social work or related field, one year of field experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Some travel and a background check are required; occasional in-office days may be needed.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in social work or related social service field.
One year of documented social work field experience.
Social work education coursework, including Human Behavior in the Social Environment; state credential or similar field preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains caseload of students/families referred for additional support.
Provides brief assessments to develop an action plan with students and families.
Facilitates family intervention meetings with families in crisis; coordinates with external agencies as needed.
Serves as point-of-contact for teachers and administration for families in crisis; follows up by phone or in-person.
Facilitates character education programming and training for faculty and school community.
Maintains awareness of local community resources within school boundaries.
