Job summary

St. Martin Parish School District in Breaux Bridge is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional at Breaux Bridge Primary to support certified staff with classroom instruction and student services through the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year.

Under supervision, you will reinforce reading, language arts and mathematics, assist with assessments, prepare materials, supervise lunch and transit duties, accompany students on field trips, and help with behavior management to keep a safe learning

Qualifications

ParaPro assessment or college English coursework completed.
No Child Left Behind Act coursework or exam completion.
Experience with students with special needs desirable.

Responsibilities

Assist in reinforcing reading, language arts, mathematics and computer instruction.
Work with students individually and in small groups.
Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
Prepare instructional materials and help with recording student progress.
Supervise lunch, bus duty, playground and field trips as needed.
Assist with behavior management to maintain a safe learning environment.
Support teachers with parent contact and collaboration.
