Job summary

The Menta Education Group is seeking a Bachelor's Degree level paraprofessional to support classroom instructors and staff in Galesburg, IL. Applicant must obtain Substitute Teacher Certification and have a valid driver's license to transport students before and after school.

Responsibilities include managing classroom behavior, reporting concerns, implementing behavioral programs, and ensuring safety. The role may involve driving a school van and responding to emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Substitute Teacher Certificate required.
• Must have Valid Driver's License and be willing to drive student van.
• Willing to obtain Substitute Teacher Certification.
• Able to work with high-risk special needs students.

Responsibilities

• Substitute Teach as needed; Act as a Paraprofessional as needed.
• Manage classroom behaviors
• Report behavioral concerns of students to appropriate staff
• Implement and maintain behavioral program policies and data
• Maintain classroom order and safety
• Assist in prevention and management of incidents of non-compliance and/or escalation in behavior
• Transport students using a School Van before & after school
• Respond to emergency situations
• Provide interventions to students to assist in managing behaviors
• Think quickly, independently, and tactfully
