Job summary

Worcester Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator (Student Specific) at Forest Grove Middle School in Worcester, MA for the 2026-2027 year. The role supports teachers and attends to students with diverse needs, including those requiring 1:1 or 2:1 support, and works within IEP/504 plans.

Starting date is immediate; salary ranges per the district schedule. Position is full-time, year-round with 180 pupil days and professional development.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 48 undergraduate college credits, or
• State-determined passing score of 464 on ParaPro or WorkKeys Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher by reviewing, correcting and reinforcing lessons in all content areas.
• Prepare and inventory instructional materials; setup and maintain learning aids and equipment.
• Supervise breakfast/lunch periods, assemblies, and clean up work areas.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as attendance and filing.
• Participate in planning with the teacher for instructional activities and events.
• Maintain open communication under supervision of the teacher/administrator.
• Maintain student confidentiality and non-discrimination policies.
• Supervise students in structured and unstructured activities across environments.
• Support students in line with behavior plans and district rules.
• Perform duty work (lunch, recess, line, bus) as assigned.
