Worcester Public Schools seeks a Paraeducator (Student Specific) at North High School for the 2026-2027 year. You will support instructional staff, manage routine classroom activities, and assist students with diverse needs across grades and settings.

This systemwide placement offers development opportunities and adherence to district policies. The role requires 48 undergraduate credits or ParaPro/WorkKeys 464, plus crisis intervention training preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 48 undergraduate college credits, or passing score 464 on ParaPro or WorkKeys.
• Preferred: Non-violent crisis intervention trained; experience with students with special needs; multilingual ability including Albanian/Arabic/Nepali/Portuguese/Spanish/Vietnamese or ASL.

Responsabilités

• Review, correct and reinforce lessons for individuals and small groups.
• Assist in preparation and inventory of instructional materials and equipment.
• Supervise breakfast and lunch periods and school activities.
• Assist with attendance, filing and classroom records.
• Plan with teachers for instructional activities and events.
• Maintain open communications under supervision of staff.
• Protect student confidentiality and foster respectful environment.
• Supervise students across settings and activities throughout the day.
• Support substitute teachers and follow district rules and behavior plans.
• Participate in professional development and accommodations training.
• Perform duties in specialty projects or grant programs as required.
• Assist with lunches, recess, lines, and buses when needed.
• Engage in crisis intervention training within first year.
