Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Paraeducator Aide I to support teachers with a variety of instructional activities and supervise students during school hours and field trips.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is desirable; AND
• A minimum of six (6) months of experience working with school age youth is desirable when assigned to enrichment aide duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in a variety of classroom activities and supervise students on school grounds and on field trips.
• Correct student papers and homework; prepare classroom materials and equipment.
• Maintain attendance records and classroom bulletin boards; manage classroom materials.
• Enforce school rules and supervise on playgrounds, lunchrooms, halls, and during transportation.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned and operate common office equipment.
