Job summary

Northwest Regional Education Service District seeks an Instructional Assistant to support classroom instruction at Meadowlark Academy, within Lewis & Clark Elementary, St. Helens School District. You will assist licensed staff in implementing IEP/IFSP plans and supervise students to ensure safety and positive behavior.

The role requires collaboration with teachers and transportation of duties as needed. The position offers 0.9375 FTE (37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday) with a Classifed Salary

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Background registry clearance is required for Early Learning positions/worksites.
A valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

Prepare instructional materials under the direction of a licensed teacher.
Provide instruction under the direction of a licensed teacher.
Assist students with assignments and activities.
Assist teacher in grading and recording student work.
Take and maintain data as needed by the licensed teacher.
Support student safety and monitor behavior during recess, class, and bus loading/unloading.
Collaborate with staff and communicate effectively at all levels.
Perform other duties as assigned.
