Job summary

Harmony School of Endeavor- Houston (K-8) in Houston seeks a dedicated instructional aide to support teachers and students under supervision. You will assist with small groups, classroom management, and preparation for ARD/IEP processes to help deliver effective learning experiences.

Required: High School Diploma or GED; 48 college hours preferred; Texas Educational Aide Certification preferred or ability to obtain; experience with children preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 48 college hours is preferred.
• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Texas Educational Aide Certification is preferred or the ability to acquire it.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher(s) with student academic goals, by working with small groups or an individual child.
• Assists in enforcing classroom management and behavioral plans to create a conducive learning environment.
• Supervises students during breakfast, recess, lunch, dismissal and events.
• Prepares paperwork for ARD/IEP processes and enters data for reports and documents.
• Assists with differentiated instruction planning and implementation for individuals and groups.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
