Job summary

Bardstown Independent School District is seeking a Substitute Instructional Assistant to support certificated teachers and assist in delivering instruction to students in Bardstown, KY. Basic reading, writing, arithmetic and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups; monitor and report student progress.
Tutor individuals or small groups and maintain records of student progress.
Prepare and organize lessons; administer and score tests; determine English proficiency where identified.
Monitor and report student behavior; ensure safety in lab, lunchroom and playground areas.
Perform routine clerical duties and maintain classroom materials and records.
