Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or progress toward GED as required by Kentucky law.

• Ability to perform routine clerical duties in support of classroom activities.
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups; monitor and report student progress.
• Tutor individuals or small groups and maintain records of student progress.
• Prepare and organize lessons; administer and score tests; determine English proficiency where identified.
• Monitor and report student behavior; ensure safety in lab, lunchroom and playground areas.
• Perform routine clerical duties and maintain classroom materials and records.
