Job summary

Texas A&M University is seeking a Student Development Specialist III to provide individualized support for students and connect them with campus resources. This role emphasizes confidentiality, strong communication, and collaboration with faculty, staff, and campus partners.

The position supports the Critical Incident Response Team and helps coordinate programming while maintaining thorough documentation and case management for a large student population.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years’ experience in student affairs or related field, with two years in Student Affairs.
• Master’s degree in student affairs or counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages in individual developmental conversations and refers to campus resources.
• Supports the Critical Incident Response Team and follows up on cases as needed.
• Documents student interactions and coordinates programming such as Silver Taps and Pocket Pantry.
• Represents the department on committees and performs other duties as assigned.
