Job summary

Northern Rivers Family of Services is seeking a Teacher Aide to support classroom teachers in managing behavior and promoting student success on site. The role involves monitoring students, recording behavior data, and assisting with incident reports while maintaining a safe learning environment.

You will engage in PBIS strategies, supervise during non-instructional periods, and participate in trainings relevant to safety and classroom support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience supporting students with behavioral challenges is helpful.
• Ability to monitor safety and document incidents accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher with behavior management and student support.
• Monitor student behavior and help maintain discipline in the classroom.
• Record behavior data and assist with incident reports when requested.
• Monitor students during non-instructional periods (lunch, recess, bus, field trips, etc.).
• Assist with PBIS strategies and classroom routines.
• Attend trainings and meetings to enhance professional skills.
• Perform clerical duties: attendance, filing, copying, and preparation of instructional materials.
