Job summary

Atlantic County Vocational School District is seeking a Substitute Aide to assist certified staff in classrooms and support students with special needs. You will help with instructional activities, data collection, and progress recording under the direction of licensed teachers.

Responsibilities include supporting individual and small group instruction, reinforcing materials, maintaining behavior notes, and assisting in various non-instructional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Assist certified staff to meet instructional goals and objectives as directed.
• Participate in data collection to evaluate student achievement under teacher guidance.
• Support in reinforcing materials and classroom strategies for individual students.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Record student task performance and progress daily as instructed by the teacher.
• Maintain daily anecdotal notes of behavior and support behavior management plans.
• Assist in large group activities and monitor student engagement during activities.
• Support monitoring of students during non-classroom duties (bus, lunch, specials).
• Maintain confidentiality of student information and uphold ethical standards.
