Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking paraprofessional staff for Deephaven Elementary to supervise students during lunch, recess, and related activities. Starting wage is $20.28 per hour with the 2026-27 wage schedule; 2.5–3 hours per day, multiple positions available, location Deephaven Elementary.

Responsibilities include enforcing school rules, guiding behavior, recording routine paperwork, assisting with cleaning tables, and reporting concerns to the principal; teamwork with staff is required.

Qualifications

• Evidence of successful experiences working with elementary school age students.
• Evidence of the ability to respect, protect, and maintain confidentiality.
• Evidence of the ability and inclination to take charge of student behavior as circumstances suggest.
• Evidence of the ability to work in a team environment.
• Evidence of excellent human relations and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of students and enforce school rules in the lunchroom, playground, or other designated locations in cooperation with other staff.
• Guide students in the implementation of rules, routines and expectations for the playground and lunchroom.
• Complete routine paperwork and perform record-keeping activities related to monitoring activities.
• Assist with cleaning the lunchroom tables as needed.
• Report any areas of concern regarding student behavior and equipment needs to the building principal.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
