The Learning Lamp is seeking dedicated substitute aides to support students in local school districts. You will assist with activities of daily living, provide physical and emotional support, and help implement individualized care plans alongside teachers and nurses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is the minimum education requirement.
• Willingness to complete required clearances and training for safety.
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and long periods.
• Experience with individuals with special needs or disabilities preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in supporting students with diverse needs.
• Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and adapt to changing situations.
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy related to student information.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities of daily living.
• Provide physical and emotional support to students.
• Follow individualized care plans developed with teachers and health professionals.
• Support in the classroom and with instructional materials.
