The Learning Lamp is seeking Substitute Aides to support students across school districts in Cambria County. Hours are flexible, based on district schedules.

The role offers a collaborative environment and growth opportunities, with pay starting at $10.00 to $17.00 per hour and part-time benefits. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, providing physical and emotional support, and helping implement individualized care plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Willingness to obtain required clearances and training (mandated reporter, physical, TB test) within a week.
• Capacity for sitting, standing, walking, bending and long hours.
• Experience with individuals with special needs preferred.
• Patience, empathy and genuine interest in supporting diverse students.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
• Understanding of confidentiality and privacy of student information.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities of daily living, including hygiene.
• Provide physical and emotional support to students.
• Implement individualized care plans with teachers and nurses.
• Support classroom activities and provide instructional materials as needed.
• Maintain open communication with teachers, parents and staff.
• Promote independence and an inclusive learning environment.
